About Me |
|
I have been involved in commercial investment real estate since October 1973. During those 31 years I have negotiated at the real estate investment table as buyer, seller, lease tenant, landlord and financial consultant. This broad background of experience lends sound judgment and perspective to investing in the market of today. As with any sound education, one needs to start with the basics. While working in my “new hire” capacity at Lang Associates I initiated and then completed my CCIM courses. Following that were focused courses on leasing, tax deferred exchanges, psychology of buying and selling real estate, investment counseling, etc., as well as on-the- job training. Along with this education I’ve established a network of clients, brokers, bankers, accountant and other consultants whose talents and wisdom help form the basis of a successful enterprise. |

Today I use my experience and acquired expertise to assist my clients in attaining their investment objectives; be it growing their portfolios, moving from high risk, high management investments to lower risk and low management, or cashing out of a real estate investment with the lowest possible tax liability. · I have been a full member of the Society of Exchange Counselors for seventeen years. · I was one of the original organizers and first president of the Commercial Investment Division of the Vermont Association of Realtors and twenty years later once again served as its president. · I was the first Realtor ever invited to speak at the Vermont Law Symposium. · I have taught a course in Commercial Leasing for continuing education in the State of Massachusetts and been hired by the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCOR) to run one of their state marketing sessions. · I am experienced in interstate tax deferred exchanges. |

My wife and I have three grown children and celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in 2004. I still live in the same house I bought when I was twenty-eight; though my wife is dropping serious hints it is time to move.
I am an avid fly fisherman and fly-tier who has never found the perfect river but who has traveled the United States and Alaska searching for it. |
